Kearney Artist Guild

The purpose of the Kearney Artist Guild is to broaden and deepen the creative art experience of artists and art lovers throughout the Kearney area. The Guild provides opportunities for artists to learn, create, exhibit, share ideas, and connect with others who appreciate and support the arts.

As members of the Kearney Artist Guild, we recognize and celebrate each artist’s unique voice, perspective, and creative journey. We believe art flourishes in an environment where artists feel encouraged, valued, and supported. Through friendship, collaboration, education, exhibitions, and community involvement, we strive to inspire creativity and foster continued artistic growth.

The Guild welcomes artists of varied backgrounds, interests, experience levels, and mediums, as well as those who simply have a love and appreciation for art. We encourage members to share their knowledge and talents, learn from one another, and find inspiration through meaningful connections.

Art in the Park

A cornerstone of the Kearney Artist Guild’s commitment to the community is Kearney Art in the Park, an annual fine art and fine craft festival held in Historic Harmon Park. For more than five decades, Art in the Park has brought artists and art enthusiasts together, creating an opportunity for the community to experience, appreciate, and purchase original artwork directly from talented artists and makers.

The festival showcases a diverse selection of fine art and fine craft while offering a welcoming, family-friendly celebration of creativity. In addition to the artists and their work, the event features live entertainment, food, and activities that encourage people of all ages to experience the arts.

Art in the Park provides artists with an opportunity to share their work with the public, connect with fellow artists, and introduce new audiences to the creative arts. Just as importantly, it allows the Kearney Artist Guild to give back to the community through support of local art education, students, teachers, and community arts initiatives.

Through Art in the Park and our other programs and activities, the Kearney Artist Guild seeks to make art accessible, encourage participation, support artists, and strengthen the cultural fabric of the Kearney area.

Above all, the Kearney Artist Guild is committed to building a vibrant and inclusive arts community. We believe respect fuels inspiration, support nurtures growth, and kindness strengthens the creative spirit. By bringing people together through art, we help keep creativity—and our community—alive.
