The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the Universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. Help us raise our goal of $45,000!
Since 1907, the Salvation Army of Kearney has been serving our community. We provide emergency essential services in the form of rental and utility assistance, shelter, food, and more to all without discrimination, in a Christian environment. We continue to fight for individuals who are in need due to emergencies, job insecurity, inflation, and innumerable other reasons.
We so appreciate the generosity of Kearney and the surrounding communities, who always seem to come through for their neighbors, whether it be under usual circumstances or extraordinary ones such as a flood or a pandemic!
Please consider helping us raise our goal of $45,000!
Thank you for supporting us through your monetary donations, as well as your gifts in kind.

Testimonials
"My family and I recently relocated to Kearney. After encountering issues with our planned living arrangements, we found ourselves with no place to go. We were led to the Salvation Army who provided us a safe place to sleep and much support in finding a place we are now able to call home." - Laura
"I would like to take a moment to express the joy and appreciation for the assistance I received from Lisa from the Salvation Army when I was going through some difficult hardships in my life. I was facing living on the streets and I had just lost both my father and brother to the horrible virus, Covid-19. During this terrible time, I was doing everything in my power not to fall short, as I am a recovering addict. I shared my story with Lisa, and she supported me, got me into temporary housing, reached out to several resources, and ultimately was able to help me get into permanent housing. I am blessed that I am able to say that I have been clean for almost 7 months and I am enjoying life again. I live in hope, and I'm working to achieve my goals and I owe it to the Salvation Army and our Father whom I choose to call my highest power." - Yolanda
