Kearney Area Children's Museum

At the Kearney Area Children’s Museum, we believe play is more than fun, it’s how children learn, explore, create, connect, and make sense of the world around them.

Since 1989, KACM has been creating hands-on opportunities for children and families to learn through play. Today, our museum features over 20 interactive exhibits inspired by the world around us, from a grocery store and auto shop to a fire station, train depot, science center, art studio, and so much more. Through pretend play and exploration, children can try new things, build confidence, practice real-world skills, and simply be themselves.

Children’s museums play an important role in a community. They give children space to wonder, experiment, make choices, work through big feelings, and connect with the people around them, all through the simple, powerful act of play. At KACM, we work to make that experience welcoming and accessible to every child and family who walks through our doors.

As we look ahead, we want to continue growing and creating new ways for children to play, learn, and discover. We want the Kearney Area Children's Museum to be a place where families make memories, where children feel safe to be curious, and where a little imagination can turn an ordinary day into an adventure.

We can’t do that without our community. Every gift helps us keep exhibits fresh, provide educational programming, expand access, and create a place where children can learn through play. When you Give Where You Live, you’re helping make sure there’s always a place in Kearney for kids to play, explore, and discover.
