Kearney Area Community Foundation
United Way fights for the Health, Education, and Financial Stability of every person in our community.

$20,000 goal
United Way helps people who have multiple health and human service needs, more than any single organization. Not only do we stamp out hunger, fill backpacks with school supplies, offer recreational scholarships for youth, and purchase tennis shoes for kids in need; United Way also allocates funds to well-run programs, ensuring the money is used where it is most needed.
Last year, we allocated funding to 21 programs through 13 different partner agencies.
- American Red Cross
- ARC of Buffalo County
- Friends Mentoring Program
- Boy Scouts
- Girl Scouts
- HelpCare Clinic
- Residential Assistance to Families in Transition (RAFT)
- Kearney Area Children’s Museum
- SAFE Center
- Kearney Jubilee Thrift Store and Food Pantry
- CASA in Kearney / Buffalo county
- Salvation Army
- Community Action Partnership of Mid-NE programs: Homeless Prevention, Senior Companion Volunteer Program, Immunization, Commodity Supplemental Food program, Minden Senior Center, and Head Start
Thank you for your gift to United Way; What’s Raised Here, Stays Here.
