THE NEBRASKA FIREFIGHTERS MUSEUM & EDUCATION CENTER IS DEDICATED TO THE COURAGEOUS FIREFIGHTERS OF OUR STATE -- PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
OUR MISSION IS TO PRESERVE NEBRASKA'S FIREFIGHTING HERITAGE, TO FOSTER PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING OF THE IMPACT AND BENEFIT OF FIREFIGHTING IN REGARD TO SAVING LIVES AND POSSESSIONS, TO EDUCATE INDIVIDUALS ABOUT FIRE PREVENTION AND FIRE SAFETY, AND TO MEMORIALIZE NEBRASKA FIREFIGHTERS.

After the funeral of a fellow Nebraska firefighter, three gentlemen began discussing the importance of remembering the incredible service and sacrifice of firefighters from all across the state - this discussion led to a grand dream that is the present-day Nebraska Firefighters Museum & Education Center.
Phase I of construction was the museum itself, while Phase II was the addition of the Nebraska Firefighters & EMS Memorial.
We have a another dream now: to expand our exhibit gallery in order to showcase more artifacts and apparatus from across the state.
- Start to add features on Nebraska's Emergency Medical Services and expanding a library of fire history.
- Creating more comprehensive educational displays that teach and reach out to our youngest visitors.
Please help us make our museum a "must stop" and talked about center.
August 2019 we will be celebrating 10 years of dedication to the Fire & EMS of Nebraska!
