Arc of Buffalo County

We are committed to helping children and adults with developmental disabilities secure the opportunity to choose and realize their goals of where and how they live, learn, work, and play.

The Arc of Buffalo County is a non-profit organization that provides recreation, advocacy, training, and information to more than 200 adults and children with developmental disabilities in our area.

While we started out rather slow, we have gained momentum and popularity throughout the summer and fall seasons interacting with up to 18 individuals simultaneously while also having fun and learning. Our next steps are to introduce a Karaoke, Book Club, and Relationship Skills remotely. These programs are currently available to anyone interested and at no cost to the participants.

2020 has changed and challenged us to become creative and innovative thinkers to continue however possible to meet the needs of Intellectually/Developmentally disabled persons in and around our area. We are proud to say we are facing this challenge head-on while wearing masks and remaining socially distanced.
