From morning walks in the gym to fruit and veggie classroom snacks, Central Elementary is committed to using a variety of strategies to help parents raise healthy children. Central offers PE every day and, according to results from research conducted by the University of Nebraska/Kearney, our PE every day program has reduced levels of student obesity around the school. In the past four years, Central has experienced a 20% decrease in childhood obesity.
In the same regards having students remain active at recess is just as important as our nutrition. We would like to broaden our student experiences at recess by offering new/different equipment.
