Kearney High Theatre Boosters

The KHS Theatre Boosters organization is dedicated to providing assistance and support to the KHS theatre students, theatre directors, and the Thespian Troupe #1811. We are a group of parents and community volunteers that meet monthly with the theatre directors to provide support and coordinate theatre activities throughout the year.

The KHS Theatre Boosters endeavor to generate enthusiasm, technical skills, and life skills for students by supporting theatre activities at Kearney High School. We believe that by creating opportunities for students to develop their talents, communication skills, self-confidence, and self-esteem through theatre activities they become better citizens. Students learn about cooperation and collaboration while developing a strong work ethic, empathy, and respect for others as well as an appreciation of the arts. Our goal is to provide assistance to both the non-competitive and competitive theatre departments to help our students thrive.

Each year we support:
• Participation in theatre conferences and competitions
• Hands-on experience in producing quality performances for our school and community
• Awarding scholarships to theatre students taking their education to the next level
• Providing fun activities and celebrations that foster a love for school and theatre programs & activities
• Fundraising for needed equipment and supplies for the theatre departments
