Kearney Whitewater

A nonprofit organization

To increase paddling opportunities, promote water safety and practice water conservation in natural environments.

Over the past twelve years, the Kearney Whitewater Association (KWA) has worked diligently to develop a premier water trail with whitewater features in Kearney. Due to the generous contributions received through previous Give Where You Live events, funding was secured for two public landings constructed in 2016, as well as for the development of two whitewater features completed in 2022.

We are now taking steps to develop a public use water trail landing located near the trailhead next to Cherry Avenue in Kearney, Nebraska. This landing will provide a safe means of access for paddlers on Turkey Creek.

Your support makes a difference. 100% of donations go directly toward these projects-helping to create lasting recreational and environmental benefits for the community.

The Kearney Whitewater Association is a grassroots, volunteer-driven organization made up of passionate members from across the region. Join Kearney Whitewater at McCue's Nebraska Taproom for our annual Give Where You Live gathering on December 4, from 6-9 PM. Come down, get something to eat and discover "Our Recipe For Success"! Join us and see what the next project will be for Kearney Whitewater Association.
