Iain Nicolson Audubon Center at Rowe Sanctuary
About This Organization
Audubon's Rowe Sanctuary is dedicated to the conservation of the habitat critical for Sandhill Cranes, Whooping Cranes, and other migratory birds along the Platte River in Nebraska. As part of the National Audubon Society, we protect and manage approximately 2,900 acres of bird habitat in Gibbon, NE, and work with partners to create a sustainable future for the river and the wildlife that rely on it. At the National Audubon Society, we aim reverse the decline of birds across the hemisphere to create a planet where birds can thrive. Along with habitat protection, nature-based education is a major focus at Iain Nicolson Audubon Center at Rowe Sanctuary, with year-round programs for local schools, groups, volunteers, and families.
