United Way is strategically positioned in the community to mobilize to meet the most pressing human needs related to a healthy community, youth opportunity, and financial security.

Our current programs include:

- Youth recreational scholarships so that low-income families can access fun activities for their children

- Free Little Libraries in two low-income neighborhoods in Kearney

- Four Little Free Pantries in Kearney

- Assisting with Coats for Kids

- Stamp Out Hunger

- Promoting volunteerism



United Way is focused on addressing the following key areas of need in the Kearney community:

1. Helping people more readily find and access resources

2. Reducing poverty in Kearney from 15% to 10%

3. Increasing mental health

4. Helping people achieve a healthy weight - decreasing obesity from 35%
