Give Where You Live Prizes
Give Where You Live (GWYL) is a 24-hour fundraising event created to rally community support for local charitable causes. This fun one-day fundraiser is being powered by the Kearney Area Community Foundation (KACF) and will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from midnight to midnight.
Community members are asked to make donations and show support for the local nonprofit organizations that positively impact their lives every day. Prizes, match money and other incentives during the Give Where You Live campaign make this a strategic way and time to give back to your community.
This year, for our campaign theme, “Peace, Love, Community”, there will be $135,000 given to participating nonprofits through the Challenge Match Pool and various themed prizes! Winners will also receive extra social media promotion.
Disco Fever
Three $500 Prizes
It may not be Saturday Night Fever, but that doesn’t mean we can’t catch Disco Fever! Donors who give between 8:00-10:00 PM during Give Where You Live will be entered into a random drawing to win $500 for the organization that received their donation.
Do The Hustle
Three $500 Prizes
It’s Hustle time! Like the fast-paced 70s dance, this is a fast-paced prize! We’re giving out 3 prizes during the 8:00 AM hour, drawn every 20 minutes! Donors who “hustle and give” between 8:00-9:00 AM on Give Where You Live will be entered into a random drawing to win $500 for the organization that received their donation.
Flower Power Hour
Four $750 Prizes
We can’t have a theme about the 60s and 70s without mentioning Flower Power! Donors who give between 3:00-4:00 PM during Give Where You Live will be entered into a random drawing to win $750 for the organization that received their donation. AND, the first 25 donors that bring a gift by our office will receive a flower to take home!
