The Museum of Nebraska Art (MONA) is where Nebraska's creativity truly comes to life! Right here in the heart of Kearney, MONA is the proud home of Nebraska's official state art collection-more than 5,000 works strong and growing. Since 1979, we've celebrated the art and artists that make our state shine, welcoming more than 25,000 visitors yearly.

MONA reopened in May 2025 with a bold new look! Our dramatic expansion has already attracted thousands of visitors to experience the expanded galleries, new exhibitions, and our new Community Studio. The Community Studio is one of our favorite additions! Designed as a hands-on hub where art and community come together, the new space is popular with kids and adults - and the artists who routinely teach classes at MONA.
