The Museum of Nebraska Art is a truly special institution, focused exclusively on the art and artists of Nebraska, and located right here in Kearney! MONA is the official home of the state of Nebraska art collection, held in trust for the benefit of the public. As the guardian of one of the region's finest art collections, MONA has established itself as a cultural asset for Kearney and the state. Since its founding in 1979, MONA's collections have grown to over 5,000 works of art, and museum attendance averages 25,000 visitors annually with outreach programs reaching an additional 25,000. You may have noticed big changes happening at the Museum! We are expanding so that we can offer more exhibitions and programs. Part of the expansion includes a new Community Studio space.
