$6,000 Goal

At Axtell Public Library, we believe every child deserves the chance to explore, imagine, and grow through the power of reading. In 2025, more than 100 children participated in our Summer Reading Program—discovering new worlds, building confidence, and fostering a lifelong love of learning. With your support, we can continue to grow our Summer Reading and youth programs, providing a safe, enriching place for children to learn, create, and connect. Your generosity helps ensure that every child in our community has access to opportunities that spark curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

The Axtell Public Library is more than a place to check out books—it is a place where our community comes together. Throughout the year, we offer programs and events for people of all ages, including our Summer Reading Program, After School Bingo, PreK Book Club, Book Lovers Night Out, March Book Madness, Murder Mystery events, Shamrock Shuffle, May Day Baskets, and Grandparents Day. These programs create opportunities for families, children, and adults to connect, learn, laugh, and make lasting memories together.

We are also excited to provide a Makerspace where children, teens, and adults can explore their creativity, try new skills, and turn ideas into something real. Through hands-on projects and creative activities, our Makerspace encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and learning beyond the pages of a book.

Every donation to the Axtell Public Library helps make these opportunities possible. Funds raised through Give Where You Live will support children's programming, Summer Reading, new books and materials, Makerspace supplies, technology, and future programs that bring our community together. Your support allows us to continue offering meaningful experiences without putting the cost on the families and children who participate.

In a small community, every contribution makes a difference. When you give to the Axtell Public Library, you are investing in children, families, lifelong learning, and the future of our community. You are helping create a library where children can discover a love of reading, where families can make memories, and where neighbors can come together. Together, we can keep our library growing, keep our community connected, and ensure that Axtell continues to have a library that serves and inspires generations to come.

Testimonials

"I have volunteered at the Friends of the Axtell Public Library Give Where You Live event for the past ten years. It's heartwarming to see the community come together to 'support the shelves.' Established in 1923 by the Axtell Women's Club, the library has served our community for nearly a century, continuing its mission to promote lifelong learning for all ages. Whether through children's programs, discovering a new favorite book, or offering activities for seniors, there's always something for everyone at the Axtell Public Library." - Jodi Hinrichs & Tricia Danburg
